Angela Denise Hutchins was born on November 30, 1970, and was originally raised in New York City along with her 2 sisters. Her family relocated to Atlanta Georgia in 1985 to be closer to her other Siblings.  During this time, Angela was heavily involved in Athletics. She attended Jonesboro Senior High School in Clayton County, Georgia and was a Top Athlete in Track & Field, Baseball, Gymnastics and the Girls Varsity Basketball Team. Her performing arts skills also developed when she participated in the school's Drama Club. She graduated in 1988.

 

While living in the Bible-Belt south, she still struggled with her sexual identity. She gave birth to her only born son, Marquez in 1991. Afterwards she began to find her own voice, and decided to live her truth as a Lesbian. Her first out experience was at the legendary historic Marquette Lounge (Atlanta's 1st Black LGBTQ Nightclub).  During the rest of the 90s, Angela began to embark on her journey and landed a corporate position at SunTrust now Truist.  While maintaining a 9-to-5 to take care to her only son, she started pursuing modeling and acting part-time due to her burning passion to still become a performing artist.

 

Her 1st opportunity came in her early 30s when she was selected as a Plus Size Model with legendary modeling agent and entrepreneur Rhonda Wilkins. During this time, Angela was taught how to professionally walk the Runway and model plus size clothing.   Additionally, she became a faithful member of the legendary Tabernacle Baptist Church, where renowned Inspirational Speaker, Bishop Dennis Meredith is the Pastor; which is also the home of the award winning ANOINTED VOICES (Winners of the Verizon Wireless Choir Competition, "How Sweet The Sound"), where Angela was a choir member and vocalist for 10 years.

 

Angela's big break came when she was featured as a Print Model in Hotlanta Hair Magazine from 2010-2011, and Salon Bliss magazine from 2011-2013. Her 1st Theatrical stage debut was playing the character "Nia" in the J.L.King produced stage play based on the best selling book, RAW.  Her first Reality TV opportunity came in 2014 when she became a cast member of the 1 time series, "Queen's Eye View".  1995 became an historical breakthrough year for Angela. A Chance meeting with the World's 1st LGBTQ EXCLUSIVE Talent Agency & Production Company (Meak Productions, Inc.) occurred when she auditioned for a supporting role in the Dishing Tea Entertainment stage play, "No Time For The Pain" in Summer of that year, and was noted as the most dedicated and loyal cast members in the role of "Tina".

 

Fall of that same year, the CEO of Meak Productions invited her to be a Full Time talent with the Agency. This opportunity put Angela on the Global map and made her an historic figure. In January of 2016, Meak Pro deemed Angela as the 1st Lady of the Atlanta Chapter of History of Black Gay America AKA History of Black Gay Atlanta (the Agency's National Black LGBT Division). Her first appearance in this role was at the 2016 Annual Bayard Rustin/Audrey Lorde Community Breakfast in Atlanta, GA. Later that summer, she was the main brand ambassador and media representative for the Agency's annual presence at Atlanta Black Gay Pride. She also was an extra in the renowned stage play, THE DINGALOGUES, co-starring her industry friend, Eric Dillard-Winston.

 

Angela just celebrated 5 YEARS with Meak Productions in 2020, being the only female feature in most of the Agency's campaigns and making historical trails of success along the way.  In Spring of 2021, She was recently casted for the pilot series by Sweet Boy Productions, "You Give Good Love" which is scheduled to debut this Fall Season. She is also currently a cast member of the premiere hit reality series, "Women In The Life", now in production, and is a cast member of the new stage play, Four Wives & A Will" scheduled to debut this Summer Season.

 

Now at the Age of 54, and doesn't look a day over 30, she is making her mark as one of the Top Out Lesbian actresses in the Industry, playing a variety of roles from Str8, Gay, Bi, Baby Mama, Working Woman to Grandmother, while being a Professional and Elegant Diva at the same time.  HATS OFF to our 1st Lady!!!
